DRY 90 PVC Corner Flashing

Expanding the way in new building products and techniques.

What is DRY 90?

DRY 90 relates to material used to assist in the damp proof/water proofing of a building or a structure during construction.

DRY 90 has 20 expandable pleats which allow it to expand around various corners and angles at opposing surfaces, providing maximum coverage atop the foundation and adjoining surfaces. It can accommodate angles from 0 degrees to 180 degrees.

This product is 32 inches in overall length. When it is deployed at an angle, its length from centre to end is 16 inches, which allows sufficient length to be overlapped by other damp proofing materials, and coinciding with common framing members, (ie framing studs being 16" on centre).

DRY 90 is 14 inches in height from its centre pleats, and falls to a height of twelve inches at its wings on either side. When deployed at two opposing surfaces, the pleated pattern conforms uniformly to a common veneer ledge atop a foundation surface.

Specifications

Material/Source Material DRY 90 Corner Flashing

The DRY 90 flashing conforms to the Ontario building code 1997 / Flashing for weep holes in masonry veneer/masonry walls Sections, 9.20.13.5, 9.20.13.6, & 9.20.13.7.

The DRY 90 corner flashing has a patented design and is constructed from a 20 mil, or 30 mil vinyl flashing material. U.S. Patent # 6122874, other patents pending.

Vinyl Flashing, is non-reinforced. Homogenous, waterproof, impermeable, flexible poly vinyl chloride sheeting that has been laboratory compounded, and has been reduced to a thermoplastic state and calendared into a continuous sheet of specified gauges and widths.

The sheeting cannot be physically deformed when stretched at room temperature and has been so compounded so as to resist exposure to the elements without any physical deterioration when subjected to weatherometer testing in accordance to the ASTM standards D822 for a period no less than 400 hours.

Vinyl Flash has high mechanical strength and has tear and puncture resistance.

Vinyl Flash will not be affect by extreme changes in temperature; is mildew resistant, nor will it rot as material that contain paper or organic fibers do.

Vinyl Flash is resistant to acids and alkalies and fungi, which can be encountered in construction work.

Vinyl Flash will not stain or bleed, nor is subject to corrosion, or electrochemical action, since there is no metal component.

The material shall show no signs of cracking or flaking when, at a temperature of -20 F, it is bent 180 degrees over 1/32" mandrel, and in the opposite direction through 360 degrees - Test method ASTM-D1790.
